A 24 kV switchgear of the Finnish energy company Mäntsälän Sähkö Oy has been equipped with Vamp 255 feeder manager relays. In Ocotber 2006, twenty units were installed in the NorMega switchgear manufactured by Norelco, Finland. Both the switchgear and the entire substation building are new and replace an earlier substation on the same location. The relays have an integrated arc protection system and they interface with the Scada system from Netcontrol.
Mäntsälän Sähkö Oy provides power generation and distribution and district heating services for the town of Mäntsälä and its surroundings, some 60 kilometres north of Helsinki. The 80-year-old company has 13,000 customers in nine different municipalities.
