The Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) had its first Vamp protection relays installed in May 2007, when Vamp 150s were used to replace the old, electromechanical relays for protecting the motors that run the center's air cooling systems. The relays were ordered by KLCC Urusharta Sdn Bhd, the maintenance company of this famous landmark in the Malaysian capital. The selection criteria that worked to Vamp's advantage in the project were the relay's technical features and easy-touse concept. The Kuala Lumpur City Center is called a city within a city. The 452-metre Petronas twin towers are the best known part of the Center. The KLCC comprises more than 1.67 million square metres of facilities and includes a shopping center, hotel and convention center.
