In the marine and offshore segments Vamp protection relays are used for protection of generators, low and medium voltage switchgears, feeders and motors.

Monitoring of ambient, generator, switchgear and motor temperature is of the utmost importance in these segments. Vamp protection systems can be connected to various temperature measurement sensors and the data obtained can affect the operation time.

Arc flash protection systems protect switchgears, provide personnel safety and prolong switchgear life cycle. In offshore & marine applications arc flash protection is an important safety factor as distribution panel rooms are limited in size and arc flash pressure relief channels are difficult to construct.
