New appointments at Vamp Ltd, Vaasa (30.07.2010)

	Elisabeth Söderman has been appointed financial controller and member of the management board. She previously worked as a financial administration expert for Wasa Tilit Oy, an accounting firm.		Jari Kinnari has been appointed director for materials administration and the order/delivery process and member of the management board. He previously worked in a management position at Enics Plc.
	Kirsi Saloranta has been appointed sales engineer for the Asia & Scandinavia sales team. She previously worked as a technology manager at Nokia Plc.		Aki Sillanpää has been appointed product support engineer in the customer support group. He previously worked as a supervisor at Wärtsilä Plc.
	Joni Leppilahti has been appointed product testing engineer for protection relays and measuring devices. He graduated with a degree in electrical power engineering from Vaasa University of Applied Sciences in 2010.		Jani Vainionpää has been appointed product manager for protection relays, measuring and monitoring devices. He previously worked in product testing for the company.
	Juha Rintala has been appointed product manager for arc protection. He previously worked as a product-support engineer for the company.

The safety certification center of Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, KESCO, has approved Vamp products for use in power distribution networks in Korea (21.05.2010)

The safety certification center of Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, KESCO, has approved Vamp products for use in power distribution networks in Korea. The certification is mandatory for products installed in the South Korean power distribution systems. Approval concerns the following relays:  Vamp 50, Vamp 51, Vamp 52, Vamp 40, Vamp 130, Vamp 135, Vamp 140, Vamp 210, Vamp 230, Vamp 255 and Vamp 265. Vamp's products and operational performance were audited in the middle of May and the Products Surveillance Inspection Report signed on 19 May, 2010.

Sales and delivery release of new functionality for VAMP 200 series (23.03.2010)

Delivery release of VAMP52 feeder and motor protection relay (16.02.2010)

Vamp 50 series is developed to cover the specific requirements of basic protection for OEM, utility and industrial applications. Thanks to its cost-effective and flexible design, the Vamp 50 series is an excellent alternative for low and mid range protection applications. Vamp 50 and Vamp 51 overcurrent and earth fault protection relays were the first released products available. VAMP Arc flash protection system for CFE substation in Colima, Mexico (02.02.2010)

Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE), the main utility of Mexico, has installed Vamp arc flash protection technology in their Colima substation in northern Mexico. The investment was made to enhance the safety of employees and property against any arc flash incidents and to increase the reliability of energy distribution to consumers.

The solution chosen by CFE comprises a Vamp 221 arc flash protection system, seven VAM10 L I/O units, and point sensors for full selectivity and continuous self-supervision of the entire system. It will ensure instant detection of arc flashes and an operation time of up to 7 ms to trigger the breaker. The system was installed in November 2008 at CFEs Colima Norte substation by Vamps representative Allectro, S.A. de C.V. The 115/13.8 kV substation belonging to CFE Distribution Occidente started operations in December 2008.

Experience from the Vamp system has met all expectations and Comision Federal de Electriciad is planning to continue retrofitting their substations with Vamp arc flash protection systems.
