Our business is growing rapidly and we are now filling the following position at our Vaasa office:

Electronics Engineer:

Vamp Ltd specializes in the protection relays used in power generation and distribution and is also a leading supplier of arc protection systems worldwide. Through our sales organization and the network of our partners we export our products to more than 60 countries.
Our net sales amount to 15 million euros, and our organization has a staff of 40 skilled professionals. In Finland we operate in modern office facilities in Vaasa, where our headquarters are located, and in Vantaa, near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Our company is a member of Schneider Electric.

Your tasks:

  • Designing electronics for embedded systems.
  • Managing small and medium-size projects

We value:

  •  M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering
  • A good understanding of power distribution and knowledge of protection systems.
  • Experience in electronics design for power distribution systems
  • Experience in using PAD tools
  • Knowledge of EMC and UL approvals
  • Some experience in software and mechanical design

After Sales Engineer:

Your tasks:

  • Provide after sales service and support to our customers and representatives
  • Assist with technical inquiries and commissioning of equipment
  • Provide customers with service and consultation reports

We value:

  •  M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electrical or electronics engineering, good understanding of power distribution systems
  • Good communications skills in Finnish and English; other languages are a significant asset
  • A result-orientated, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial attitude
  • Willingness to travel

Quality Engineer/Manager:

Your tasks:

  • Develop and maintain product quality, excellence of operation and the quality management system
  • Support and manage different types of improvement programs
  • Direct internal and external audits

We value:

  •  M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering or industrial business engineering
  • Good communications skills in Finnish and English
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance for R&D in industrial electronics and for manufacturing in cooperation with contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Experience in ISO 9001 quality management system, experience in ISO/TS 16949 is an asset
  • Good knowledge and experience of quality improvement tools and statistical methods (Six Sigma)
  • Effective problem-solving, root cause analytical and change management skills
